It has been three months since I last posted anything to my blog. Alot has happened during that time, mostly with moving to jumpstart my writing career. As you may have read in my last post, work had taken precedence over writing for three years. I go by that time as it has been that long since I last published.

This year, I created an audio book out of "The Chupacabra" and submitted it to an anthology for publication. I was interviewed by a local paper on cryptozoology, resumed lecturing at Greeville Tech, and I am nearing completion on edits for both the third edition of my first novel, "Shadow of the Thunderbird", and the first edition of my third novel, "Wake of the Lake Monster".

I took back dltanner.com, which was taken from me two years ago through a combination of my ignorance of domain name ownership, and the unscrupulous practices of the registrar which previously hosted it. It was sold to a group that pointed it to an adult site. I apologize to any who looked and were shocked at the transformation. It is back now, and so am I.

I will try to post more often to this blog, but the act of writing a third novel is in and of itself an arduous task. I intend to work towards getting an agent and a larger house to publish my works, which are considered some of the finest in the genre of cryptofiction. I have enjoyed the success, of the achievement, but now wish to grow the writing into a profitable venture, as well.

There is so much more to come, in 2007. Not only will "The Cryptids Trilogy" be complete, but I wil embark on a new, even more epic project. It is not unsual for a cryptofiction novel to write about a single cryptid, but what if they literally all appeared at once? I have a piece of geophysical clockwork that will be used to precipitate the advent of a new dawn - for the animals out of space and time.

I will also put out a serialization of the second novella for "Red Eyes", this one about the harbinger of Point Pleasant - Mothman! As always, I will put virtually every known fact about the case and its strange subject matter. In the meantime, the site will receive an update, I will finally open the internet radio station I have been called about since leaving "Bigfoot Central" on Artistfirst.com, plan the 2nd annual conference of the SCCS (South Carolina Cryptozoological Society), and hopefully work with a certain famous author in a worthwhile venture to induce teenagers to read more.

I appreciate those of you who have kept up with me through the years, and will be raising my profile again with these new publications. As ever, I am a writer of fiction, and a researcher into the folklore, myths, legends, history and eyewitness accounts of things I myself have never seen.

Please stay in touch - 2007 is going to be a wild ride!

D.L.
